this is rather awesome. i really like the technique. it's kind of a non-traditional approach to vector work, as most tends to be very bright. this has a nice subdued, night time color scheme. reminds me of city streets and jazz clubs.
i like the idea of drawing people with disproportionate bodies that curve and bend at different angles. it's an interesting way of looking at the human body. and makes for a much more artistic piece.
beautiful work. any chance of this being offered as a print?
the colors, shading and glows are wonderful, layout is quite nice as well as the style, reminds me of these paintings my boss has in his house of kinda abstract looking jazzy stuff, weird angles of old black men playing pianos and trumpets and whatnot
Hey Johnboy, do me a favor. Make me a version where you take out all the fuzzy blendy glowy stuff and replace it by upping the value and saturation considerably on the things that are supposed to glow. Just because I want to see what it looks like.
The flow and feel of it is great. Very sureal. But the colors are just to dull. I think maybe they came out differently on your monitor, but I think that blue is just sickly, if it was replaced by a vivid blue, I'm sure those glowing marks would appear at least twice as bright as they are now. I would really like this more if you added more vivid colors. But other than that I love what you have done with it.
he's freaking cool ahha and creepy. ur choice of colours certainly emits a feeling of mystery, like whats beyond the door. the dark colours/feelings imply that the stars are probably not such a blissful place to be after all.
eww, this is actually eerily hypnotizing. lub it.
