This is the first in a series of drawings inspired by Goldfrapp's Felt Mountain. Track No. 1, Lovely Head.

Now, normally I find quoting song lyrics in descriptions rather naff, but since it is rather the point:

If you haven't heard Felt Mountain, but like my art, you're really missing out. Although I made my first "crystaline" retro-futuristic drawings before I discovered Goldfrapp, it's an almost perfect stylistic counterpart to my work.

I once considered animating the entire album, but then I calculated that would take me more than a year full-time, and would also be forever in the copyright mire. So I procrastinated for a while (okay, nearly two years) -- and finally decided to do drawings instead. I plan to do at least one a month.

P.S. I know what this song is about, but I'm finding Paper Bag a bit inscrutable; so if anyone has an interpretation, I'd like to hear it.
