…or The New Religion

Here it is, the big one, the epic Utopia from Goldfrapp’s Felt Mountain. After a massive false-start with this picture, I think its one of my best for a long time. The song has a rapturous feeling to it, and the neo-religious composition captures this better than my previous attempt (which I’ll post in a sec). Anyway, the rather obscure lyrics:

It’s a strange day
No colours or shapes
No sound in my head
I forget who I am
When I’m with you
There’s no reason
There’s no sense
I’m not supposed to feel
I forget who I am
I forget

Fascist baby
Utopia, utopia

My dog needs new ears
Make his eyes see forever
Make him live like me
Again and again

Fascist baby
Utopia, utopia

I’m wired to the world
That’s how I know everything
I’m super brain
That’s how they made me

Fascist baby
Utopia, utopia

I started this series five (five!) years ago, but now the end is very near, with just one more to go.

Another reminder folks, I don't live here anymore, so you're not getting all my works. I am just about everywhere else though, so pick your poison:

You know, I always view your work like... well, a masterly crafted piece of sushi. Sophisticated and delicious.

I do like this, though the dog seems oddly texture-less?, as compared to your other work, where there was always more variation.. You've got the mythological aspect down pat though.
